We have three full time nurses providing both clinical and clinical research medical activities. They are Karen, Lisa, and Shanon. Two of our nurses have been working at our clinic for over 15 years. Our administrative staff consists of Sue, who has been with us for over 15 years, and Jessica.
We are also involved with the Bluewater Clinical Research Group, a physician-led group that conducts clinical trials on a wide range of common conditions seen in family practice such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, fibromyalgia, migraine, cardiovascular disease and much more.
Our Services
Patients can expect to receive the following services provided by our clinic
- Family Medicine Care
As a family physician, Dr. Peterson provides comprehensive primary care to his patients, including preventative, episodic, small procedure, and palliative care. Dr. Peterson holds a fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the College of Family Physicians.
- Antenatal Care
We provide routine pregnancy care to women up to the end of the second trimester and then coordinate with our local Obstetricians for third trimester care.
- Lumps and Bumps for patients of Dr. Peterson
We provide assessment, biopsy, and treatment for skin lesions. These include cryotherapy, biopsy and excision.
- Driver’s Medicals (open to anyone)
Dr. Peterson is willing to complete Ministry of Transportation Driver’s Physicals for any driver in the community. Please contact our office for the cost.
- Addiction Medicine Care
Dr. Peterson cares for 60 patients in North Bay with opioid addiction and dependency through treatment with opioid replacement therapy with either Suboxone or Methadone. He has started to provide the same care to patients of his practice with opioid addiction.
- Independent Medical Evaluations
Dr. Peterson provides General Independent Medical Evaluations for Insurers and Plaintiffs. Please contact the office for pricing.
- Clinical Research
Our site has been active in clinical research for the past 15 years. We have experience in running clinical trials in the fields of Coronary Artery Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Emboli, Depression, and Arthritis. We have experience in completing Phase 3 and Phase 4 trials. Our active staff of two registered nurse coordinators and administrative assistants are well trained to provide detailed care to our patients participating in the trials.
